The Hanse 470e (for Epoxy) is unlike any other production yacht in this size.  Michael Schmidt, the owner / founder of Hanse, had the outrageous idea of offering a superyacht on a production basis.  The Hanse 470e was not just a superyacht in looks, although she is indeed stunning.  Her hull is built in the finest way possible, using PrePreg Epoxy resins with 1.25" Corecell Foam to the waterline.  All bulkheads are glassed, not just glued, to the hull and deck.  The reinforcing structure is a massive galvanized steel grid, for incredible strength and stiffness with less weight and excellent access to wiring and plumbing (unlike almost all other production boats where so much stuff is hidden and impossible to access) along with full length stringers.  If you were going to build a cost no object custom yacht, she would be built the exact same way.  With a self tacking jib, 4 line Dutchman system in a full batten main, and 2 electric winches, she is as easy to sail as a dingy.  With a mastheight over 80 tall and a SA/D ratio of 21.2 she moves in the lightest breeze. Many have crossed the Atlantic and won all manner of races including Antigua Race Week and the Arc.  

Finally, after a great day of sailing, passing every similar boat, when you head below, you are treated by an astonishingly spacious interior with a huge master stateroom, 2 very large heads and one of the most comfortable main salon and galley's ever (the same as on the Hanse 540). 

Freya is the only US spec Hanse 470 available in the US and needs nothing.  She has been very lightly used since new, only making a few longer cruises to as far away as Nantucket and is for sale due to the owner not having the time to sail her.    She has been stored under a full cover every winter, the teak has always been coated with Semco and she has had numerous upgrades.  We sold and have maintained her since new (and we have maintained several other hanse's including Michael Schmidt's personal Hanse 630e).  Furthermore, we have a long list of very satisfied brokerage and service customers.

The Hanse 470e was only offered for 2 years before Hanse went back to more conventional production yacht, but a buyers who wants superior quality, performance, looks and space in a yacht that has seen excellent maintenance with very light use, this is a must see.   Air conditioning (1 16k and 1 8k unit) and a FisherPanda 4kw genset package available for $21.6k installed) - identical to the factory package.
