The sailing vessel "A'BIENTOT" is an original owner Beneteau 42s7 which has been lightly used in Long Island Sound and the adjacent waters. She offers the tri-cabin layout with two guest cabins aft port & starboard, frwd cabin and two heads. She has been engaged in casual family club racing and mostly cruising. Never south and kept in the brackish waters of the Connecticut River, she has escaped to some degree the harsh ocean elements. BUILDERS DESCRIPTION
BUILDERS DESCRIPTION: The First 42s7, the product of experience gained through the First 46f5 and the First 53f5, is also the result of intense research in terms of quality, performance and comfort. From the structural inner molding laminated on the hull, to the hull - deck joint, the most important words are strength and reliability. The rigging is discontinuous rod, with swept-back spreaders ensuring a perfect hold on the keel-stepped mast. The uncluttered deck layout has very individual characteristics: the "double-body" of the coac hroof enables the shroud chain plates to be brought towards the middle of the boat and thus improves the angle of the genoa and increases her pointing ability upwind. It also allows space for two fixed portholes which provide the salon with additional pleasant natural lighting. And finally, the foredeck space is thus enlarged, which facilitates moving about on deck, whether you're making a sail change or dropping anchor. All lines are led aft to the cockpit to Spinlock stoppers making it easy to hoist the spinnaker. The full-battened mainsail falls between the lazy jacks and the cover is on in an instant. The Dorade vents on the coach roof combine beauty with function: when turned to the "sailing" position, the sheets won't get trapped in the vents. This is the three cabin arrangement, pear finish with the warmth and efficiency of the Philippe Starck interior. Marvel at the shapes and soft curves, natural lighting, and plenty of ventilation via numerous opening ports and hatches. The navigator, comfortably seated at the nav station, can plot the course on the large chart table, and check all the electronics on board mounted on a removable, hinged panel. The fully-equipped galley comes with stainless steel gimballed stove with oven, large refrigerator, double sinks and plenty of storage space. The First 42s7 combines both science and performance, the enjoyment of life on board and the mastery of technology, giving the greatest possible pleasure for sailing long distance in comfort, and fast.
SALON
The Salon and other interior elements are quite spectacular with the Phillipe Stark design elements and warm Pear wood interior.
