Hull and Exterior

Notice the superb finish of a Marlow Explorer on the INSIDE of the hull and deck.  The Full Stack Infusion process Marlow invented, developed, and employed produces a textbook fiber to resin ratio that can NEVER be approached by hand lamination. The protective Portuguese bridge with abundant storage and comfortably sized covered walk-around decks make this yacht a pleasure when handling various on deck cruising or docking tasks.  The yacht is built using 3 major molds eliminating many secondary bonding operations creating a stronger lighter structure that will stand the test of time.

The hull is beautifully faired and painted with Awlcraft 2000 Carinthia Blue.  The superstructure is Oyster White.

The oversize cockpit features a large settee with a high gloss teak table  that has a forward folding leaf to maximize space when not in use.  3 chairs can be added to the forward side of the table providing seating for 6.  The table and seat have covers for protection when not in use.

On the aft starboard corner of the house is a pop out control station; the perfect spot for backing into a slip.

The cap rails all the way around the vessel are high gloss teak and the hand rails are polished oval stainless.  There is a fuel fill on either side amidships and you can fill both tanks from either side.  The black water pump outs are on the side decks and the water fill is forward by the pilothouse windows.

There are 4 cablemasters for the 4 50A cords providing lots of flexibility for shore power.  You have fresh and salt water washdowns at bow and stern.  All the decks are easy to care for non skid.

Upon entering the salon you walk though the double entry composite and glass doors that mimic bank vaults when closing. One cannot help but be enticed by the breathtaking panoramic views throughout the vessel. The custom built-in settees covered in high end upholstery to Port and Starboard, make you feel right at home. The settees have ample storage compartments underneath. On the Port side you have upper and lower storage cabinets aft. Forward of the settee there is an ice maker with the main electrical panel located conveniently above. On the port side aft of the settee is a large liquor storage cabinet.  The coffee table is Teak with a Camphor Burl top.

The interior walls of both decks are built in light Maple wood providing a lighter interior than the usual teak.  The rear salon doors and the pilothouse doors have roller screens allowing you to open up with no bugs.

When overnight cruising, the cabins will accommodate sleeping a total of (5) guests. This includes the master suite with a spacious King berth port side sleeping for (2); the VIP forward berth for (2), and there is a single bunk outboard of the stairs to the lower deck.  The Master has its own large head and the VIP has a large private head that can be accessed from the cabin-way or stateroom.  The yacht was specified with several pocket doors to maximize space.

Galley / Pilothouse

In addition, “Running Tide” boasts plenty of refrigeration and freezer space with the highest quality Subzero refrigerator / freezer drawers used for ample storage. The Lower Helm has a full set of electronics including twin 15" Garmin units and a full Cummins display for each engine.  Overhead you will find access to all the ships systems monitoring including bilge pumps, ships tank levels (water, fuel, black water, gray water)  battery monitoring of all battery banks, and safety monitoring of bilge high water alarms, high exhaust temperature alarms, and engine room and transom door indicators.

To Port and Starboard there are Pilothouse doors for easy egress. The doors have fly roller screens as well.

From this station you also have the Gyro control pad, FLIR night vision camera, and spotlight.

Master Stateroom

You will not find a nicer Master Stateroom on any yacht under 70'.  With a almost full King Size bed Athwart ship with nightstands on both sides with reading lights.   There are ample storage drawers and large hanging locker. She has the space to live on board for "the season". The location of this Master Stateroom is as important as the accommodations within. The Master is in the center of the vessel, not in the Bow as is commonly found in Yachts below 60'. There is far less noise and motion in the center of the vessel than in the bow.

The head runs the full length of the master stateroom on the Starboard side providing a large shower, lots of counter space and an oversize port light providing lots of natural light. There is an abundance of storage for all the bathroom necessities.

Just aft of the master on the way to the forward engine room door is a laundry area that is a great utility area that houses the separate washer and dryer, chest freezer, and has lots of additional storage for extended cruising.

In the center of the ceiling there is a full size hatch that has a screen to keep the bugs out and built in shade to keep the sun out when you want to sleep in.

The spacious VIP Head is to Port and can be accessed directly from the stateroom or from the hallway.  The shower is very large and the room gets lots of natural light from the oversize port lights.  There is plenty of storage for personal items.
