This exceptional Beneteau design offers a comprehensive combination of comfort, style, safety and performance. Designed by world renowned Bruce Farr, the Beneteau Oceanis 461 sails exceptionally well in a myriad of conditions. Her interior is richly appointed with varnished cherry wood that is both bright and warm, especially in the dim light of a flickering ships lantern. This particular 461 offers two private cabins, two of which have their own private access to one of two heads aboard.

The owner’s cabin is located forward and features a centerline queen pedestal berth with a custom Tempur-Pedic mattress, Tempur-Pedic Pillows, duel changing seats with accompanying hanging lockers and its own private head. This large cabin offers plenty of room to move about freely and includes private access to the forward head.  Storage cabinets in the owner's cabin received new custom cane facing for improved ventilation.  Custom under-cabinet courtesy lighting was added to allow just enough light to dress without waking your partner.  Despite the roominess, this forward space is warm and cozy; a great getaway for that captivating afternoon book or a sneaky nap.

The salon features a U-shaped dinette/settee to starboard with a settee opposite to port with storage beneath.  All new salon cushions provide updated accents and charm.  The dining table can easily accommodate up to six people with ease. However, if a true dinner party is up your sleeve, this table has the novel capability to grow with your needs. Simply slide the ends outward, drop in the insert and voila…you can seat eight in splendid comfort!

The L-shaped galley offers a very chef friendly layout, everything within easy reach with nobody traipsing into your space. There is plenty of countertop space for food prep with excellent access to food stores, cooking utensils and cutlery. The freezer and refrigerator compartments are top loading and feature lift assist pistons for effortless entry. Well suited for extended cruising, this galley has everything necessary to keep it fun.

Comments

This particular Oceanis 461 is in exceptional condition due to her light use and professional maintenance. She is unique in that she is one of the rare Beneteau 461's that has a traditional hoisted mainsail which provides for exceptional performance and handling.

Her interior shows very little wear with all surfaces including the sole and bulkheads “like new”. The engine and compartment are also spotless (see photos) as she was just re-powered with a beautiful Yanmar engine (less than 200 hours).

She's been continuously upgraded by her owners with the latest electronics, creature comfort features and a performance sail inventory.   Rendezvous II is one of the rare Beneteau 461's that has a traditional hoisted mainsail. This gives her excellent speed and performance whether racing around the buoys or carving upwind to that distant anchorage.  She has won multiple times in the famous annual Figawi Race from Hyannis to Nantucket; her impressive trophy case reflecting multiple wins in other races in New England. She provides an excellent platform to not only win but to also host many friends and crew in post race celebrations complete with culinary excellence (experienced first hand).

Highly recommended to those seeking a VERY comfortable sailboat that is equally at home both family cruising or racing around the buoys.  No compromising, she does it all!
