ESSER was painted top to bottom – hardtop, decks, and topsides by Bristol Marine in the Winter of 2014.
All exterior varnish was stripped and re coated with 10 coats of varnish in 2020.
HULL:
The Little Harbor 38 WhisperJet has a strong hull fabricated from a combination of knitted bi- directional E-glass with Kevlar hybrid laminate, foam cored for strength and sound deadening throughout. ACCOMODATIONS AND LAYOUT:
The interior woodwork is finished in satin-varnished cherry with white fascia surfaces. The galley countertop is Corian. The sole is varnished teak and holly veneer. Overheads are white Formica. Drawers have Kroon flush positive latches and mount on roller bearings. Ocean Air screens and shades on hatches. Ocean Frigast lighting.
MASTER CABIN
Starting forward, a V-berth with filler converts to a large double berth. A premium mattress provides outstanding comfort. There are numerous shelves and storage lockers and two large cedar-lined hanging lockers. Flat screen TV mounted on bulkhead.
DINETTE
Aft of the master cabin, to starboard, is a dinette with teak table that lowers, converting to a double berth. There is a hanging locker aft with shelving outboard. This hanging locker contains a closet for hangers and the JetStick computer control module.
GALLEY
The galley is located to port. Features include a Norcold 110-/12-Volt refrigerator, Kenyon two burner stove, GE microwave oven with shelf, pressurized fresh water system, a 6-gallon stainless steel hot water tank with 110-V element and heat exchanger, Corian sink with Grohe faucet and Corian countertops.
HEAD, SHOWER
Aft of the galley is the head with ensuite shower with removable grate. Highlights include a Corian sink, Grohe shower faucet, cherry framed mirror, Corian counter, chrome fixtures and a marine toilet to holding tank. An opening port provides light and ventilation.
Forward of the cockpit, the bridge deck serves as the prime entertainment area. This area can be enclosed for use with heat and air conditioning, or opened to the elements aft via rollup canvas. Superb comfort is inherent in the design. The floor is teak planking overlaid on structural fiberglass decking. The hard top offers great visibility and has lighting, ventilation from deck hatches and is lined with a custom headliner.
Additionally, the entire bridge deck hinges via an electric lift, allowing access to engines and systems maintenance. There is also a smaller hatch allowing quick access to the engine room.
The helm station is located forward to starboard, with full electronics and instrumentation, including a Stidd helm chair with built-in Hinckley JetStick steering and control module. Forward to port is a customized teak chart table. The L-shaped settee to port seats four comfortably with a tapered teak table and cover.
Cockpit seating has storage access ports for better storage of equipment and supplies. There is a custom teak windshield with electrically actuated center-opening window.

ESSER has a properly designed 12 VDC electrical system and a 125 VAC system with power from the inverter or shore power. Wiring throughout the yacht is tinned cable.
